About.
This reference guide is a reference to VBScript (Microsoft Visual Basic Scripting Edition).
VBScript is used chiefly in ASP (Active Server Pages) to develop web sites and web applications offering dynamically generated pages via server-side technology. It can also be deployed in Windows as part of the Windows Scripting Host and in the command line.
VBScript is a scripting language and a subset of Visual Basic. It can be used client side with Microsoft Internet Explorer or server side with Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS).
The most common implementation is to use VBScript server side where it can interact with the server to be processed before returning data to the client as normal HTML/XHTML.
VBScript is developed by Microsoft and their rights and associated copyrights are acknowledged.
